The Community & Family Resource Center (CFRC) is dedicated to strengthening families and communities by provding information, education, and support. The Center is located on the 1st Floor of the Juvenile Justice Center at 300 N. Gay Street, and is a collabrative effort of the East Baltimore Community Corporation, community volunteers, community-based organizations, the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, the Family League of Baltimore City, the Baltimore City Court System, the Baltimore City Police Department, the Maryland Public Defender’s Office, the Baltimore City Public School System and School Police.

CFRC programs and services are specifically directed toward assisting families whose children have come in contact with DJS in order to assist them in accessing supportive services that will assist the families with keeping their child at home rather than secure detention. The services are designed to strengthen and support parents with the goal of retaining custody of their children rather than relinquish custody to DJS.
