The East Baltimore Community Corporation/Reflective Treatment Out Patient Methadone Program located in downtown Baltimore is currently seeking a highly motivated, reliable person to immediately fill the Assistant Supervisor of Nurse/LPN position.

Characteristics of Position:
Provides general nursing care to patients and gives guidance to other professional nurses attendants. The work is performed in accordance with detailed and established rules and regulations, professional practices and special orders fom attending physicians. Assignments concerning individual patient care are usually given directly by a member of the medical staff. The nurse is responsible for performing routine duties without detailed instructions since the work is supervised and reviewed in a general way.

Duties:
Provided practical nursing care such as taking temperatures, pulse and respiration rates, checking blood pressure, obtaining specimens for lab examinations, giving medications, inovulations, etc. During the absence of the nurse supervisor, gives administrative and clinical direction to a staff of subordinate nursing personnel. Assists physicians and nurses in examination and treatment of patients. Charts and records the administration of medications, treatments, and observe patients to detect any deviations from normal condition. Perform Other Related Duties As Required.

Requirements:
• Must be currently licensed with Maryland State Board of Examiners
as a Practical Nurse under Maryland State Board Law.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and a rotating schedule.
• Must have two years working experience as a supervisor.
• Current Employees must have worked for EBCC/RTC One year or more.
• Clinical and supervisory skills: community outreach and
organization skills; and time management skills; strong verbal and
written skills. Computer literacy is a must.
• Must have daily access to a car and possess a valid Maryland
Driver’s License
• Minimum of two years working with a substance abuse adult
population preferred.
• Applicants will be required to submit a writing sample
• Must sucessfully complete 90 days of intensive training
• Drug Free Work Place
• Criminal Background Investigation
